May 16, 2018    8:00 PM    The Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South

Joseph Macchia and Wendy Leopold present “Hey! I Care!!”, a benefit concert of the music & lyrics of David Auxier-Loyola at the historic Players Club! David is a MAC-nominated songwriter and Bistro Award-winning director/writer who recently workshopped his new musical, The EnGaygement, at the Metropolitan Room to rave reviews. He is also a principal performer with the NY Gilbert & Sullivan Players (NYGASP), as well as being company choreographer and associate director. Last year, David conceived and directed the critically acclaimed re-imagined production of The Mikado which played to sell-out crowds at The Kaye Playhouse.

Hey! I Care!! will feature David Auxier-Loyola and his songs performed by Broadway and Off-Broadway alums and Cabaret favorites, including Phantom’s Michele McConnell (Broadway’s longest running Carlotta), On Your Feet’s Genny Lis Padilla, Naked Boys Singing’s Christopher Anthony Henry, cabaret award-winner Joshua Lance Dixon and NYGASP’s Maurio Hines, Jason Whitfield and Angela Christine Smith. Music direction will be by multi-MAC- and Bistro-award-winning Tracy Stark.

This special night of music benefits Help Is On The Way Today, whose mission is to raise and distribute funds to NYC based organizations that support children and young adults living with HIV/AIDS; particularly those with little or no medical coverage and/or financial support. www.helpisonthewaytoday.org
